On Episode 12, titled "This Is The Time," Carrie , Mouse, Maggie, and Walt decide to go to their senior prom – at The Waldorf Astoria – together for a final hurrah. Larissa offers Carrie a full-time position at Interview magazine that makes her rethink her plans for the next year. Carrie opts to take the job and postpone her plans to go to college much to her father's dismay. Mouse learns that Donna LaDonna is actually really smart and has been accepted to Columbia, but she plays it down because it could threaten her reign as queen bee. Meanwhile, Sebastian hides the fact that he wishes to move to the West Coast to be closer to his business partner. With Carrie being cut loose from her dad for not going to college, her only support is her boyfriend.

Previously on episode 11 titled, "Hungry Like The Wolf," Carrie tried to cover for Bennet at Interview magazine. He has had trouble coping with his break up from Walt. Larissa tells Carrie that he doesn't have his story by the end of the day she would be forced to fire him. Our beloved writer cares for her friend and writes a piece under his name and turns it on to her bosses delight. When Bennet comes back to the office he seems ungrateful and takes all the credit for Carrie's work, which prompts Carrie to take a job that he was assigned to, knowing that he would have not attended. Larissa finds out Carrie wrote the piece and fires Bennet, he retaliates and tells her she is a bad friend for going behind his back.
