D1 Sports is excited to announce NBA All-Star, Carmelo Anthony as a new partner and co-owner in the newest D1 facility, D1 Baltimore. D1 Baltimore will provide the city with an elite place to train for athletes’ ages 7-22, as well as collegiate & professional athletes. D1 Sports also offers everyday classes for adults of any fitness level. The facility will open in 2016. D1, The Home of Athletic-Based Training, specializes in making athletes faster, stronger, more agile, and explosive, while also building character. D1's adult programs are suitable for any gender and fitness level with results-driven programs geared towards weight loss, general health, strength and endurance.
Since arriving in the NBA, Carmelo Anthony has not only been one of the top scorers in the league, he has also diversified himself as a player, a family man, a businessman and a philanthropist. Melo has excelled off the court through his philanthropic efforts. He established The Carmelo Anthony Foundation (CAF) in 2005 as the vehicle by which he and his family give back to the community through a variety of outreach programs and donations. With this new venture, Melo will continue to offer and provide for the Baltimore inner city/underprivileged youth with scholarships to attend the training facility.

D1 has twenty-five (25) U.S. locations with pro athlete, sports medicine and inhouse therapy partners. Pro athlete co-owners include Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Tim Tebow, Chipper Jones, Randall Cobb, Herschel Walker & Jason Witten.
