Carlos Ponce is part of the new Disney Tinker Bell animated movie, "The Pirate Fairy." In the film the telenovela heartthrob plays Bonito, a pirate serving as rigger alongside James and Zarina. The huge Spaniard can throw a harpoon a hundred yards, but is quite passionate about sewing, not only the ship’s sails but also applying dainty double-stitched seams to his fairy captain’s tiny outfits. Ponce holds some similarities with his character in that he also has a sensitive side to him. To voice Bonito, the actor had to work with a voice coach and LatinTimes interviewed him where he explained his process, watch our exclusive Carlos Ponce interview above!
"The Pirate Fairy" features Tinker Bell and hew fellow fairies as they go on a new adventure. Zarina (Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. Disney's "The Pirate Fairy" is now available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital HD.
