Cardi B is having an incredible year shattering records following her hit single "Bodak Yellow." The rapper just released a new song called "Bartier Cardi" and was excited to see that it had cracked the Top 10 in the iTunes charts. "Super happy and super blessed to have 4 songs on the hip hop charts right now on iTunes," she wrote on Instagram. "I️ been very overwhelmed today because it’s like starting all over again. I'm going to let you guys in on my music journey [because] all this sh** is new to me. It’s a lot of work and it’s very emotional specially when the world is watching but once you start you can’t finish!"
But the singer was just hit with another scandal as an alleged sex tape of her was leaked online. According to Page Six "in the video, one can see Cardi B smiling, laughing, twerking and bending over for the camera." Neither Cardi's reps or herself have addressed the rumor, but some fans have already said that it is her and someone is trying to rain on her parade. “Yes, [Cardi B] used to be a stripper who has naked videos from her past stop bringing it up when she doing good always hating going on it’s really sad," a fan tweeted.
Cardi B is reportedly being suded for $5 million for using a picture's model on the cover if her mixtape, "Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1.". Kevin Brophy is the man taking the Bronx rapper to court who allegedly appears on the graphic image that shows a guy without a shirt with a particular tattoon on his back performing oral sex on Cardi B. According to TMZ, Brophy says it's him and found out about it when a friend asked him about it. The site also got a hold of the court documents where it sates that Brophy's son saw the photo and now keeps bringing it up.
Cardi B recently made history with "Bodak Yellow" as the first female rapper to top the Hot 100 Billboard music chart in 19 years and the first rapper of Dominican descent to ever reach that place in the chart. The previous record holder was Lauryn Hill, who topped the chart with no other billed artist. Cardi B, from the Bronx, had the number two spot last week and was able to overtake and dethrone "Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift. The Dominican rapper even threw a little shade at the former queen when she celebrated her number one spot by singing the chorus of the tune she toppled.
Cardi B, born Belcalis Almanzar to a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother, grew up in the South Bronx. She is only the fifth female rapper to top the Hot 100 after Lil' Kim who was featured on "Lady Marmalade," Shawnna who collaborated with Ludacris on "Stand Up," Iggy Azalea who led with "Fancy" along with Charli XCX. According to Billboard, Cardi B is also the first female solo artist to lead the Hot 100 list with no featured artist since Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass."
