The Sunday Times has released its annual Rich List which counts down Britain's 100 wealthiest individuals. This year the list has revealed the founders of the highly addictive mobile game "Candy Crush" is actually richer than the "Grand Theft Auto" creators.
Brother's Dan and Sam Houser, who created Rockstar Games, came in at 947 on the rich list with combined wealth coming in at over $150 million. While this is slightly better than King COO Stephane Kurgan who ranked 989 with over $143 million it still doesn't come close to the creators who founded the mobile developer.
King co-founder Riccardo Zacconi came in at number 271 thanks to his overall worth of over half a million dollars. While his fellow founder Sebastian Knutsson ranked 458th with $336 million.
Meanwhile other big names featured on the list include GAME founder Neil Taylor with $370 million and duo Andrew and Paul Gower from developer Jagex making $171 million.
While some may think this is surprising seeing how Rockstar boast about its sales, which are impressive, it actually makes a lot of sense. A lot of people don't own video game consoles like an Xbox or PlayStation but almost everyone in a wide age range has a mobile smartphone.
