Camila Alves Pregnancy: McConaughey’s Wife ‘Struggling To Recover’

Model Camila Alves' pregnancy resulted in what RTV-6ABC is calling a "painful mystery ailment," following her caesarean section delivery in December. Alves and actor Matthew McConaughey welcomed their third child, a boy named Livingston just before New Year's.

Camila Alves said she had really strong pains [when going into labor] and I kept telling the doctors to find what it was, what was happening ... Nobody could figure out [what it was]. She allegedly has four weeks left of an expansive restriction on exercise and heavy lifting.

"I can't even lift my kids," she said.

Hollywood life reports in treating the condition, Camila Alves is drinking a gallon of water per day and cannot ingest dairy products despite the need to breastfeed. Livingston is reportedly doing very well. Camila Alves would not elaborate on the specifics of the medical condition.

Alves, a native of Brazil, moved to the states at age 19 to pursue a career in modeling in New York. She and McConaughey have been married since June 2012.
