'Call Of Duty: Ghosts' Release Date News: 'CoD: Ghosts' To Have Mysterious Co-Op Mode [VIDEO]

Over the weekend Infinity Ward's community coordinator Candice Capen revealed the existence of a co-op feature for "Call of Duty: Ghosts."

Although the studio is being tight lipped on what exactly the co-op will be.

In the tweet by Capen she says, "we'll have a cooperative mode of sort, but we're not announcing it yet and I've no clue when/if we will."

She was responding to a tweet by Ciaran, @doyneamite, who tweeted to Capen, "@markderidder @candyslexia Spec Ops returning in Ghosts?"

The tweet by Infinity Ward's community coordinator is unclear whether this mode is in fact Spec Ops or an entirely new co-op. The game won't be released until November so Infinity Ward still has time to share some information about the co-op mode.

Modern Warfare 3 also introduced a co-op mode called Survival. In Survival, one to four players must defend against waves of progressively stronger enemies. It seems like every shooter ships with a "Horde Mode" like this these days so I wouldn't be surprised to see Survival in Ghosts.

Infinity Ward is taking their time with announcing multiplayer details for Ghosts. The first news about Ghosts's online play came last week, when they revealed the Free Fall map for competitive play. The map in question is a skyscraper that crumbles throughout the course of the map. Dynamic map events like this will no doubt play a large role in co-op and single-player as well.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" is slated for release November 5 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
