What's the quintessential classic Cadillac? The Eldorado, of course. What better way to flaunt your success and tell the world that you've "made it" than by owning an eighteen feet long pink convertible with a gaudy cream leather interior?
Cadillac has long discontinued its flagship grand tourer but from the Corvette-based XLR coupe to the highly acclaimed Ciel concept car, the American luxury marque had always intended for its Eldorado to return.
At the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Cadillac teased obscure images of its latest luxury concept. But now, new images have surfaced and we finally see what the new concept will look like.
Highly influenced by Cadillac's history of large coupes, the company calls the preview of its latest design philosophy, "American glamour meets American technology."
According to Clay Dean, Cadillac director of advanced design, the 'Glamour' concept intends to "reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time."
With little more to go on than what the images revealed, we don't know much about what Cadillac is up to. However, we believe this design study might be a foretaste of Cadillac's future products, including its next flagship sedan for 2015.
