There is only one episode of "Burn Notice" left before the series finale. Michael Westen is travelling down a dark path and in episode 11 he made a decision that will shock fans. After an adrenalin filled episode involving explosions and old enemies, Michael Westen (Jeffry Donovan) blows his own cover. Westen tells James (John Pyper-Ferguson) he has been working for the CIA the entire time they have known each other. James was about to shoot Sonya (Alona Tal) and Westen stepped in to stop him. Believing Sonya betrayed him James was prepared to kill her.

"Tipping Point" opens up with Michael and Sonya making fake identifications for a mission to Latin America. As it turns out James had a job prepared for them in Mexico but Michael doesn't learn that until they arrive in the country. As they are driving down a road in Mexico James tells Michael the mission they are about to go on was a culmination of years of work. Unknown to James a CIA extraction team is preparing to hit the convoy with the goal of grabbing James and Sonya.

After sleeping with Sonya Westen copies her phone's history sending it to the CIA. That is how they learn where James will be. The extraction in Mexico does not go according to plan. James, Sonya and Michael escape the CIA and split up in order to throw off the teams chasing them. Sonya and James head in one direction while Michael and a few of James' men go to a marina looking to steal a boat. Westen's CIA contact, Strong peruses James and sends his Alpha team to get Michael and the others. The Alpha team charges into the marina killing a few of James' men. Michael knocks out the only one of James' men to survive the shooting.

Westen then tells the Alpha team leader he is a friendly and not to shoot. The team leader tells Westen to come out and Michael's eyes almost fall out of his head when he sees the agent. The CIA had been working with Simone Escher (Garret Dillahunt), the psychotic former CIA operative that killed countless people and almost blew up half of Miami. After Michael put Simone away the CIA got him out of jail. Since we last saw Simone on "Burn Notice" he has been working for the agency off the books doing dirty jobs.

When Westen sees Simone he realizes that the CIA is willing to do things even his enemies will not do. Michael hates Simone because he is a ruthless killer that is not bound by a code of honor or morals. A fight breaks out between Escher and Westen after Simone kills James' agent. Michael pulls out a knife and stabs Simone in the heart.

James and Sonya were heading back to rescue Michael who told the pair he was under fire. This was a lie to get them to come to the marina in order to grab them and complete the mission. Strong is also in route with Sam (Bruce Campbell) and Jesse (Coby Bell). Sam and Jesse have been in Mexico the entire time waiting to help end this mission. After killing Simone, Michael has a change of heart and leads James and Sonya out of the marina and away from the CIA, Sam and Jesse.

Once Michael, James and Sonya arrive at a safe house James tells the two to follow him outside. That is when James pulls a gun on Sonya and tells her he thinks she betrayed him. Only two people knew the exact details of the mission, James and Sonya. James asks Sonya why she betrayed him and Sonya keeps insisting she would never betray him. That is when Michael steps in tells James about his mission. Michael says he wasted his life with the CIA and realized after Simone the CIA does not believe in anything.

The episode ends there. James was going to kill Michael at one point and it seemed as if Westen wanted James to do it. James doesn't pull the trigger. In the promo for next week's episode we see Michael fighting with his friends. It looks as though the climax of episode 12 will be Sonya holding a gun to Fiona. Will Michael kill Sonya or let Fiona die? In an interview with TV Guide Jeffrey Donovan said one of the characters will experience a "major tragedy." Could this be what he was talking about? Stay tuned "Burn Notice" fans these last two episodes are going to be exciting, to say the least.
