Bruce Willis poses with ex Demi Moore, wife Emma Heming and kids in first family pics since his retirement. The happy blended family seem to be soaking up all the time they have left with the beloved actor, as ex wife Demi Moore shares a loving family photo. Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have been considered the friendliest exes in Hollywood, the pair were married for 11 years. Bruce married Emma Heming in 2009, and together they have two daughters Mabel and Evelyn. The Die Hard star was previously married to Demi Moore from 1987 to 2000, they have daughters Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout together.
The family photo is the first of the star, 67, since Bruce Willis’ family announced earlier this year that he would be retiring from acting due to the aphasia diagnosis. Willis appears cheerful and the extremely proud dad as he posed for a sweet family photo with his five kids as well as his ex Demi Moore and current wife Emma Heming.
Demi wraps an arm around her ex for the photo, while Bruce's wife Emma posed alongside her and the blended family's five children - Demi and Bruce's daughters Tallulah, 28, Scout, 31, and Rumer, 34, and the actor's two children with Emma, Mabel Ray, 10, and Evelyn Penn, eight.
'We are FAMILY!! Getting into the holiday spirit!' Demi, 60, captioned her slideshow.
Willis' family broke the sad news in March that he was "stepping away" from his decades-spanning acting career following his diagnosis with aphasia, a language disorder that is "impacting his cognitive abilities."
"This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support," they added at the time. "We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that."
A source close to the family told RadarOnline, that since the announcement his condition has declined. His family is now coming together to try and spend every moment that they can together. 'They know he won't be around forever,' the unnamed source said. 'So they're cherishing every single moment.'
The source went on to tell how Moore 'has been in constant contact with Bruce and Emma. 'She takes every opportunity she can to spend time with him,' they said, adding: 'If she's not there by his side, she's calling on the phone just so Bruce can hear her voice.'
The blended family is now spending the holidays in Idaho together, as they do every year, with Willis' daughter Tallulah, recently sharing a photo of her embracing her mother as her father stood nearby looking at Demi's dog, Pilaf.
'It was always a special time,' the source said. 'The family traditions they loved continued, like their pajama parties and game nights.'
Demi and Emma have only grown closer as they both struggle to cope with Bruce's decline. "Bruce can't say much, and it doesn't seem like he's grasping much of what others say," the insider continued. "So Emma's really been the voice and communicator for him." Despite the beloved actors deteriorating health, his loved ones are trying to remain strong especially with the holidays coming up.
