Which guest character is making the audience laugh at the seventh season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”? There’s no official word yet but listed here are some of the fan-favorites that one full season cannot go without.

NBC announced in February that “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is up for a seventh season.

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is a popular sitcom revolving around a team of detectives of the New York City Police Department’s 99th precinct in Brooklyn.

Andy Samberg (Jake Peralta) leads the cast which includes Melissa Fumero (Amy Santiago), Andre Braugher (Captain Raymond Holt), Joe Lo Truglio (Charles Boyle), Terry Crews (Terry Jeffords) and Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz).

The following are fan-favorite characters that have added unique twists to the Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-awarded series through its six seasons:

  1. Cheddar

While it’s unfortunate that the dog who played Captain Holt’s pet corgi (Cheddar) died earlier this year, fans are probably expecting the witty and loving corgi to be given a special tribute in one of the episodes this coming season. Even the series’ characters need a moment to say goodbye to the beloved Cheddar.

  1. The Vulture

The Vulture played by Dean Winters is, of course, definitely the least favorite character of most fans. However, no one can deny that this credit-grabbing and attention-loving from the Major Crimes unit spices things up! His personality may be infuriating but his appearance puts all the fans’ favorite detectives on red alert and extra competitive for the current case.

  1. The Pontiac Bandit

If Jake Peralta ever had a soft spot for a criminal, it would be for The Pontiac Bandit portrayed by Craig Robinson. For the past seasons, the fans have watched the detective and the elusive car thief develop from ultimate enemies, temporary allies and close friends. Whether The Pontiac Bandit gets to escape again this season is something to watch out for.

  1. Pimento

Ever since Adrian Pimento resurfaced from going undercover for 12 years, no one could predict what his reactions and next moves would be. With that, no one could predict if he’s going to be in this new season. Fans would probably lament his absence as this character played by Jason Mantzoukas is an original Nine-Nine member.

  1. Kevin

Captain Holt’s husband Kevin, portrayed by Marc Evan Jackson, seemed like a boring personality at first sight but his presence in all episodes he appeared proved that he can give comedy and truth-revealing twists to the plot. With his appearance in this season, the Nine-Nine family would be complete!

As the seventh season started productions, hints of a new character have also surfaced.

Samberg recently posted on Instagram a photo with fellow “Saturday Night Live” star Vanessa Bayer. No official statements have confirmed that she is guest-starring, but the photo shows both actors in police uniforms used in the show.

The premiere date for the seventh season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is yet to be announced.
