The online-based theater classroom, Broadway From Home, understands how untraditional this school year will be, therefore, they are offering, kids, and teens, a way to get the creative and artistic outlet that they crave while stuck at home.
Broadway From Home’s classes is an opportunity for students to participate in immersive activities, while also supporting out-of-work actors as the Broadway shutdown continues into 2021. Originally created in response to COVID-19’s impact on theater and schools, Broadway From Home will continue programming into the fall as an alternative for canceled after school activities.
The fall program welcomes an array of Broadway actors and other guests that will lead each class and experience. Broadway From Home’s coaches and special guests are known for memorable roles in Broadway show past and present including “Aladdin”, “Mean Girls”, “Hadestown”, “The Lion King”, “Dear Evan Hansen”, “Wicked,” and many more.
“With schools closed around the country and students adapting to learning virtually, we wanted to make sure kids were still able to participate in extracurricular activities and created a fall program to do just that,” said Broadway From Home Founder Harley Harrison Yanoff. “Broadway From Home ensures that students will be able to improve their theater skills while also socializing with kids from all over the world. We love being able to bring students together and give them this fun, interactive and educational experience!”
