Is the fiancé of Gabby Petito already found?
Unfortunately, not at this time. However, a new theory claims that Petito's fiancé Brian Laundrie fled the country and likely hid somewhere outside the United States.
The controversial "person of interest" has prompted a nationwide quest for him since his disappearance in his Florida home, with internet investigators pitching in to help the FBI.
Bounty hunters are also searching for Brian Laundrie.
CNN said Laundrie, however, is still missing amid efforts in exploring the Carlton Reserve a week after the search. The inquiry has already cost authorities over $1 million.
With nothing fresh to report, many are taking to social media to spread wild conspiracy theories regarding Brian Laundrie's whereabouts.
Though there is no evidence that Laundrie has been located in the Bahamas, numerous social media investigators point out that getting out of the United States is not hard.
In an episode of "In Pursuit with John Walsh," he claims that one of the three likely hiding places for Brian is the Bahamas.
Since Brian's last location was a known area, the criminal investigator believes he could be in Mexico, the Bahamas, or perhaps the Appalachian Trail. The latter spent Gabby's 22nd birthday there.
Skye Leigh, a tarot reader, made a YouTube video on Sept. 26 hinting that Brian is in the Bahamas and traveling with an "older female" who claims to have paid for his escape.
Since then, a slew of additional online critics has concluded that Brian is in the Bahamas.
One Twitter user speculated that he left the United States with the help of his parents.
Another person mentioned how simple it would be to get from Florida to the Bahamas by boat: "Someone said as long as he showed his vaccination card he can get on Boat from Florida to go to Bahamas!"
John Walsh also attempted to elucidate how Laundrie ended up there. Later, another netizen said Walsh presented a "credible lead" saying that Brian was in the Bahamas.
Meaww said the Fort Lauderdale to Freeport ferry boat schedules runs once a week, with a sailing time of around 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Still, none of these are facts; nothing has been validated. Even the authorities are keeping their mouths shut.
On the other hand, other social media users are urging the police to search not just the Carlton Reserve, but also the United States' neighboring foreign countries.
