Oh no! Croatia is caught napping with all attackers on offense. They give up the dagger goal to Brazil's Oscar in the first minute of stoppage time.
Croatia looks desperate to tie the game. So many tremendous chances in the final few minutes. The referee announces four minutes of stoppage time.
2-1 Brazil. Will Croatia be able to come back? If you read my prediction article here you would see I do not believe they will and Brazil will get one more goal late.
Great attempt by Pletikosa, I thought he had it, but Neymar samba dances and puts it into the left side of the net. Neymar's second goal of the match. 2-0 Brazil.
"Amid raging controversy" claims ESPN's Broadcaster. Brazil's Fred flops in the penalty box in the 71st minute. Japanese referee Yuichi Nishimura awards the call, but upon replay, Fred was barely touched by Croatian center back Dejan Lovren. What a controversial call. You will see this replay tonight on Sports Center. Neymar is set to take the penatly kick.
Start of the 2nd Half. The first half was really a tale of two halves. The first 20 minutes were awful for Brazil. They were slow, out of sync, and gave Croatia way too much space. Yes the own goal was a terrible accident, but it was because they were giving Olic to much room on the sides of the pitch that the cross was allowed to happen. Brazil needed a wake up call and they got it with that own goal. The second 20 minutes of the first half, Brazil seemed to let the game come to them and played more fluid. Neymar's equalizer in the 29th minute should have been saved by Pletikosa, but was more attributed to Brazil playing at a more comfortable pace and rhythm to them.
Croatia gets an own goal of Marcelo and Neymar ties the game at 1-1 in the 29th minute. We are now at Halftime
Neymar with the Equalizer in the 29th minute!
Oh No! Croatia scores the first goal of the match on an own goal by Brazil defender, Marcelo. This is the first ever own goal given up by a Brazilian team in World Cup History.
OLIC with a great opportunity for a header in the opening minutes! Just misses. Upon reply it looked like his eyes were closed. Keep your eyes open, Olic!
