“We couldn't take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on "Work Out"-was as nice as he was beautiful. Seemed invincible, like Superman,” said Bravo host Andy Cohen on Twitter after learning the sad news about colleague Greg Plitt, who was pronounced dead on the scene after being struck by a Metrolink train in Burbank, California. Fans and members of the fitness community are mourning the sad and mysterious loss of the reality TV star at the young age of 37.
The incident is still under investigation as passengers on the train told ‘ABC7’ that the fitness instructor had a camcorder in his hand when the train hit him. Sargent Chris Canales of the Burbank police also told USA TODAY that they’re not exactly sure why the Plitt was on the tracks at the moment of the incident. Additionally, Sargent Scott Meadows from the Burbank Police Department told ‘People’ magazine that “the death appears to be an accident” and the camcorder was seized as evidence although it remains unclear who it belongs, the victim or a witness.
Friends of the fitness guru have claimed Plitt was probably filming a protein shake ad at the time of his death. Fitness model and writer, Ms Eason wrote on her Facebook: “"I am in disbelief and heart broken to hear of Greg Plitt's passing today. He was always someone who would go the extra mile for his friends and he loved the fitness industry like no other! ...Michael and I will miss you greatly, dear friend! We are praying for everyone you have left behind. There will be a void in the fitness industry and the whole world without you."
