Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has been longing for a move to Bayern Munich for some time. A key member of the 2012-2013 Dortmund team that advanced all the way to the UEFA Champions League final before falling to Bayern, Lewandowski remains one of the top international talents in soccer and even though he's had tremendous individual and club success with Dortmund, the 25-year-old has his sights set on a move to the defending Champions League titleholders. With four goals in six German Bundesliga games this season, Lewandowski is at the top of his game as he guides an extremely talented Dortmund club.

A move away from Dortmund has long been expected and since Lewandowski's contract runs out at the end of this season, it should come as no surprise that the scorer is already thinking about his expected future home. Notching 36 goals in all competitions a year ago, Robert Lewandowski has already agreed to personal terms with Bayern Munich and many believe he would make his move to Bayern in early January as opposed to waiting through the winter transfer period. His contract officially runs out in June of 2014 and the only way Dortmund will be able to receive a transfer fee for the striker is if he departs during the upcoming January transfer period.

"Right now, I can't say anything," Lewandowski recently told Sky Sports regarding his pending departure from Dortmund. "Normally, I can only reveal it officially in January. At this moment, it is still too early and we'll have to wait a bit. But I think, I can leave in January."

Robert Lewandowski joined Borussia Dortmund in 2010 and as he led the club to consecutive league titles in 2011 and 2012 while also leading his side to the 2012 German Cup, the 25-year-old native of Warsaw, Poland saw his personal brand excel as well. A member of the Polish national team, Lewandowski has recorded 18 tallies in 56 matches, an indication that the playmaker is capable of succeeding on multiple levels.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are currently tied atop the German Bundesliga with 16 points. The two will play on November 23 in the first of 2 Bundesliga showdowns.
