Gymhkana master Ken Block and motorcycle racer Robbie Maddison drifted through a crazy airplane graveyard in an epic special for Top Gear. Despite the amazing airborne theatrics, I don't think anything can best the latest video depicting a BMW M4 drifting aboard the USS John C. Stennis. What could be more thrilling than coming inches away from spinning a $64,200 sports car into the bottom of the ocean?
The awesome video of the BMW M4 on an aircraft carrier was shared on BMW's Canadian YouTube channel and featured some awesome stylized shots of a BMW M4 screaming around a race track. In fact, it isn't until the M4 slingshot around a hairpin did the tracking camera swing wide and reveal that the race track was over an enormous body of water.
The relentless BMW M4 video is just pumping with adrenaline as the yellow M4 gets physics defyingly closer and closer to the edge of the aircraft carrier. Not to mention, a stylized slow-motion shot of the powersliding M4 sending chunks of rubber and rubble shooting into the water really sells the awesomeness of the video. Of course, given that no active naval ship would ever agree to retrofit its flight deck into a racetrack for BMW's amusement, it's obvious that the entire setup is an achievement in CGI. However, we hope that fact does not make the context any less exciting for you.
The 2015 BMW M4 boasts 425 hp from a mighty turbocharged inline-6 engine and starts at a price of $64,200. Check out the awesome video of the BMW M4 Coupe drifting on an aircraft carrier below. Where would you want to take a BMW M4 in full opposite lock? Let us know in the comment section below!
