Here are the very first photos of the latest 2014 BMW 3 Series Coupe, er, 4 Series Coupe.

The very first 3 Series two door to carry the new '4 Series' designation, BMW was particularly keen to apply more dynamic styling to further differentiate the all-new coupe from the 'F30' Sedan.

While its wheelbase cannot hide its 3 Series proportions, the new BMW 4 Series coupe boasts key design elements inspired by the more upscale 6 Series and 6 Series Gran Coupe. Specifically, the 4 Series shares a similarly deeply creased character-line across the profile as well as a familiar taillight design. On the other hand, the headlight and grille composition is distinctly carried over from the 3 Series sedan. Finally, the exaggeratingly wide air intakes and vents on the bumpers are unique to the new 4 Series alone.

Inside, the exquisitely furnished interior boasts finishes that challenge even the 6 Series Gran Coupe. Deep brown alcantara headliners do well to complement the rich brown leather pieces below, including a gorgeous stitched border around the cup holders on the center console.

Underneath, expect BMW to share its powerplant with the 3 Series when it releases the 428i and 435i. The former will be a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with an output of about 240-hp. The 435i will get a turbocharged 3.0 liter straight-six engine that will offer about 300-hp.

Expect the 4 Series Coupe Concept to make its official world debut at the upcoming 2013 Detroit Auto Show on January 14th. Stay tuned as we learn more about the new BMW 4 Series coupe in the weeks ahead.
