Much has been written about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s impending wedding. Fans, recently, woke up to a juicy rumor of Shelton allegedly being miffed with Stefani over marriage delays. Turns out, the piece of news was bogus as Gossip Cop was quick to bust it.
It all began with Shelton reportedly being “down in the dumps” after officiating a dear friend and country star Trace Adkins’s wedding with actress Victoria Pratt. He was upset that Stefani, his girlfriend of four years, was putting their wedding in the backburner.
Shelton, reportedly, wanted to tie the knot at the earliest, yet Stefani asked him to wait as she wanted her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale to be annulled by the Catholic church. “Blake’s told Trace he’d love to get married again,” an alleged tipster said to National Enquirer. “He has a dream wedding planned, but is bummed out that it keeps getting pushed back,” the insider added.
This isn’t the first time that the tabloid has rustled up a series of fabricated reports on Stefani’s love life. Earlier in March, it was said that the singer was begging to Pope Francis to get her first marriage annulled. The publication alleged that her trip to the Vatican was on the cards.
On contacting her spokesperson, the truth came to light and it was found out that the report was completely baseless. Soon after, in July, the magazine went a step further and reported that Rossdale was making things difficult for Stefani— so much so, it seemed like he was blocking her path to marriage with Blake Shelton. The allegations are baseless as well, as Stefani never really did anything to handle Rossdale who was standing in her way—if at all, he ever did (which is very unlikely), going by the reports.
Furthermore, the magazine also conjured up a story about Stefani and Shelton planning for a baby. This amid false reports that contradict their own reports about the celebrity couple. True, Shelton might have joked about how his relationship with Gwen Stefani is a “Head Scratcher” but they’re clearly not in a bad space—contrary to what’s being written by the tabloid.
