A spiteful 20-year-old lesbian woman in Louisiana has been accused of hiring four teenage boys to murder her ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, the plan falling through after one of the minors bailed at the last second, local authorities confirmed.
Mykia Tyson, 20, and the four boys she hired were all arrested in early June, in connection with the failed murder attempt. Tyson has been booked on a count of solicitation for murder, as well as two counts of aggravated criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana and, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said.
On June 5, the bitter Tyson reportedly drove Delester Magee, 18, and three minors to the home of her ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend on Pine Acres Road in Lacombe, the Sheriff's Office said. The woman was reportedly angry after finding out that her former flame was dating someone new and had intended to kill him.
However, upon entry into the victim's residence Magee decided to bail on the plan at the last moment, instead intentionally misfiring and deliberately missing the target despite firing "multiple rounds" into the home, New York Post reported.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack, “but this could have very easily not been the case,” Sheriff Randy Smith said.
Tyson was arrested five days after the incident and has been charged with aggravated criminal damage, drug possession, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and solicitation of murder. Tyson's bond has been set at $40,000 for the first three charges. However, the bond has not yet been set on the solicitation for the murder charge, according to the Daily Beast.
Meanwhile, Magee was reportedly arrested on June 15 and has been charged with aggravated criminal damage to property, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and criminal conspiracy. His bond was set at $150,000.
Tyson allegedly orchestrated the murder plan with 18-year-old Magee, a 17-year-old old male from Abita Springs, a 16-year-old male from Covington, and a 16-year-old male from Abita Springs.
Police have not named the 16 and 17-year-olds because they are minors. They were reportedly arrested on counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated criminal damage to property and were later released under a custodial agreement.
