“Bitten” really sunk its teeth into fans, and luckily the Syfy series was renewed for a second season, fans are dying to know what comes after the series’ dramatic cliff hanging finale episode. The network ordered a second season composed of 10 new episodes, which is set to premiere in January of 2015. Chris Regina, Syfy’s senior VP of programming explained the network’s decision behind renewal stating, “’Bitten’ is a fast-paced and edgy series which has found a growing and passionate fan base on our channel. We’re delighted to bring the series back to Syfy next year.” The TV series is based on the “Women of the Otherworld” series of books by author Kelley Armstrong; there are thirteen books in the books series, with the first installment, “Bitten,” bearing the same name as the TV show.
At New York Comic Con the cast of “Bitten” sat down with Latin Times for an exclusive interview, where they dished on behind the scenes pranks, favorite Season 1 moments and new characters coming to Season 2, hint: they are supernatural too! “Bitten” true to it’s werewolf roots, decided to bring the full pack to Comic Con including, Laura Vandervoort, who plays the series protagonist of Elena, the only female to ever survive a werewolf bit, Greyston Holt who plays Clay Danvers, the man responsible for turning Elena into a werewolf and for bringing her back to the pack, Greg Bryk, who plays Jeremy Danvers, the alpha werewolf and leader of the Stone Haven pack, Michael Xavier who plays Logan Johnson, a doctor and dedicated boyfriend who attempts to keep his werewolf transformations a secret, and Steve Lund, who plays “playboy” werewolf Nick Sorrentino.
The second season of “Bitten” is introducing even more characters, which are powerful witches and when a coven and pack come together many dangerous things can happen. In addition to talking to the cast, producer J.B. Sugar and “Bitten” series creator Daegan Fryklind explained just what book fans and show fans alike, could expect from the next season!
