Mexican guitar player, Carlos Santana, and Brazilian singer and composer, Roberto Carlos, will be honored with special awards during the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2015, one of the most important and outstanding events in the Latin Music world. Both performers will have musical presentations during the ceremony, which will be live from BankUnited Center at University of Miami and will air on Telemundo April 30, 2015.
Roberto Carlos will be receiving the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award, which is given to an artist for an exceptional career that has taken Latin Music to another level globally. Santana will be given the Spirit of Hope Award, created in honor of late Selena, for his philanthropic and humanitarian contributions beyond his musical work.
The two special honorees will be joining an exciting line-up of previously announced performers including, Wisin, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Carlos Vives, Julión Álvarez y Su Norteño Banda, Ana Gabriel, and Lucero.
