Though we were ecstatic of her telenovela comeback news, Bibi Gaytan will not star in "El Señor de los Cielos." I know, what a bummer!
After TVNotas reported that the Mexican actress is expected to form part of the narconovela's fourth season, Telemundo confirmed that the news is only a chisme. "Bibi Gaytan has not even done the casting. That information is false," said Telemundo's publicist David Flores-Sánchez to People en Español, adding that he does not understand why the news started to circulate.
The publication also revealed that Eduardo Capetillo's wife will portray Soledad Torreblanca in the novela, information that was also denied by Flores-Sanchez. "That character doesn't even exist in the universe of characters of the serie," he said.
Although Bibi will not be in "El Señor de los Cielos," we're stoked that the novela starring Rafael Amaya has been confirmed for a fourth, fifth and sixth season.
As for Bibi fans, there's nothing left but to cross our fingers for her comeback to the small screen because the last time she was in a novela was in 2008 when she portrayed Sagrario Díaz de Espinoza de los Monterosin "En Nombre del Amor."
