Beyonce's Dad Releases New Album Filled With Unheard Of Destiny's Child Music

Beyonce's dad, Matthew Knowles, believes that some stories must be told, no matter how much time passes by. On Monday, Knowles shared unreleased material from when Destiny's Child used to go by the name, “Girls Tyme”. The album, titled “Destiny's Child: The Untold Story,” was released on multiple streaming platforms via Knowles' Music World Entertainment label.

“I want to pull back the curtain,” said Knowles. “I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father, and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others,” he added, speaking of a forthcoming project.

The music was rustled up at a time when the popular girls' band comprised Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Robertson during the early 90s. It’s clear that the music released is incredibly old, as the band shrunk to a three-member group consisting of Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle Williams, post the release of the first two songs of the album. While Knowles dropped hints about the release of this material on November 21, not many considered it well. But, what needs to be noted is the Knowles seems to be in a tearing hurry to reveal something that hasn’t been out in the open yet. Soon after putting out this music, Knowles also released an accompanying book that goes by the same title.

Well, it doesn’t end there. Knowles also revealed that a musical around the all-girls band would come to be sometime soon. The musical will essay the popular band’s journey to the top—and everything that got them to climb up the ladder. While the production will weave a tale from his perspective, viewers can expect a couple of iconic tracks from the band’s catalog to be pulled out. The project is going to be a product of a collaboration between director Je'Caryous Johnson and Knowles.

Beyonce is yet to comment on the developments. Neither has there been any confirmation from the “Irreplaceable” artiste’s end on giving the project a green light. What needs to be known is that Beyonce and her dad has had a rocky relationship.

History is laden with instances of Knowles being shamed by his own family owing to his philandering ways. The messy divorce with Tina Knowles also strained his relationship with his daughters.
