Former "Real Housewives" star and Skinnygirl mogul Bethany Frankel is reaching the end of her divorce with estranged husband Jason Hoppy. The pair have filed the legal documents stating they agree to the divorce, but have as of yet to hammer out key details such as child custody, child support, and spousal support in their settlement, despite having signed a pre-nuptial agreement.
Bethenny and Jason married in March of 2010, with their ensuing nuptials being chronicled in the reality series "Bethenny Getting Married?" and Bethenny Ever After..." The couple filed for divorce in January 2013 citing an "irretrievable breakdown" of their marriage.
The major disagreement that the couple has encountered in the proceedings is the custody over their 2-year-old daughter Bryn, as both parties have filed for sole custody over the child. Recently though, Jason has reported he would be "willing to share custody" of the toddler, but Bethenny is adamant on obtaining sole parental custody. The judge presiding over the trial has given the two a deadline of May 24 to work out a parenting plan they can both agree on.
Bethenny originally released a statement at the beginning of the split that she and Hoppy hoped to "amicably co-parent" their daughter, but in a recent interview Bethenny has indicated that this has not been the case.
"I really did think it would be amicable. I absolutely did," she says. "I wrote that entire statement myself. And every single word, I believed to be true."
As the divorce proceedings dragged on though, Bethenny realized her original assumptions were wrong and has started viewing the situation with a clearer head.
"Someone said to me recently, 'We see what we want to see.' And I guess, at the time, that's what I did."
