Her album 'Cowboy Carter' has secured nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Country Song, marking a new frontier for the pop icon.
Following closely behind are Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone, each with seven nominations. These artists have dominated both mainstream charts and critical discussions, showcasing their versatility and appeal. Among the Latino nominees, Édgar Barrera is up for Best Songwriter, while Cardi B and Gustavo Dudamel are the only ones recognized in general categories. Other Latin nominees include Anitta, Luis Fonsi, Rawayana, Bad Bunny, Ángela Aguilar, Becky G, Feid, Chiquis, Carin León, and, of course, Shakira.
Notably, the Colombian superstar, celebrating her birthday on Grammy night, is the only Latina scheduled to perform during the ceremony and Maluma is the sole Latino presenter.
Beyond honoring this year's top artists, the awards also aim to support victims of the Los Angeles wildfires. Hosted at the Crypto Arena, the event promises an electric mix of elegance, excitement, and unexpected surprises—some pleasant, others not so much.
