When Bentley first unveiled its SUV concept with the clumsy moniker EXP 9 F at the Geneva Auto Show, the automaker claimed that the concept unveiling was all part of "a systematic and comprehensive process of gauging customer reaction to the idea of the Bentley SUV."
After multiple appearances in a number of international auto shows, it's clear that a Bentley SUV is only a matter of time. However, a lot of work must be done before the Bentley SUV is considered ready. According to a report by Autocar, Bentley pitched the idea to develop the EXP 9 F to parent company Volkswagen last week. So far, the decision has been a bit divided. Although the EXP 9F carries over the blocky, upright designs that are in line to Bentley's traditions, the execution is a bit controversial and most of the critics feel as if there's still a lot left to be desired. Its interior, on the other hand, has been raved unanimously and should carry over with little change.
Specs including powertrain options and fuel economy figures aren't known yet but in the hopes of keeping people talking and spreading the buzz, Bentley has released a new set of EXP 9 F concept images as well as its very first promo video.
