It looks like Belinda killed it while shooting her scenes for the upcoming movie adaptation of the 1990s television hit show “Baywatch,” or at least she did in Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s eyes.
The 43-year-old former wrestler included the Mexican pop star in a recent Instagram post, where he praised the work and personality of the actresses who played the damsels in distress in various scenes throughout the film.
“When making a movie based off of the biggest TV show in the world, you wind up saving lives from all over the globe,” “The Rock” wrote. “Reppin’ Mexico: Belinda; Reppin; Brazil: Izabel Goulart; Reppin’ the good ol’ USA: Charlote McKinney.”
He continued, “Now in real life these ladies never need saving. They’re bad ass, keep their game strong and super cool to work with.”
When the 26-year-old Mexican singer arrived on set last month, Johnson posted a photo of their first day of work and expressed his excitement to be working with the “Queen of Latin Pop.”
“Kaboom! Welcome the Queen of Latin Pop herself @belindapop to #BAYWATCH!” he captioned. “Had a great day of rehearsals with her and tomorrow we’ll be ready to rock and roll.”
He added, “She’s already a massive music star who could easily ‘settle’ with her success, but she’s hungry and focused to expand, grow and succeed globally. I dig it! Aaaaaand this chick is very funny and is playing the perfect role in our movie.”
Belinda has yet to share details about her experience working in the Hollywood production but judging by her co-stars comments, we can’t wait to see her polishing her acting skills on the big screen.
The “En el Amor Hay Que Perdonar” performer was last seen in Pedro Torres’s drama series “Mujeres Asesinas” and Disney Channel’s original movie “The Cheetah Girls 2.”
