Bayern Munich returns to London for the first time since winning their fifth title of the UEFA Champions League in Wembley last May. They face Arsenal today in the Round of 16. German player per Metersacker, defense of Arsenal, said "Bayern was very strong last year, they accomplished everything. With Guardiola in command, they appear to be even more dangerous.” Bayern is making its fourth visit in a one year span and they only have good memories of their visits. Franck Ribery and Xherdan Shaquiri will not be playing due to the fact that Ribery is recovering from surgery and Shaquiri is recovering from injury. But this will not be a problem for them. “They not only have 11 players, they have almost two teams that can compete at the Champion’s League level, this being the reason they are one of the most difficult rivals that we can have in Europe.”
The key to Arsenal’s victory could be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He has been the best player since he returned from injury and scored two goals against Crystal Palace. Also, the teams are rested and ready to play. Some of their star players were resting on the bench while Bayern demolished Friburgo 4-0. History favors Bayern. They have already beaten Arsenal before in two different occasions, both in the Round of 16.
