Think of Batman as James Bond multiplied by a thousand. Agent 007 might have a silenced Walther semi-automatic pistol and an Aston Martin DBS, but Batman has got a Batplane, Batboat, Bat-sub, Batcycle, and an epic Batmobile.
Celebrating the Batmobile through the years, a new documentary from the Warner Bros. explores the origins and the history of the most iconic hero car. Featuring interviews with key figures that were involved with Batman in the past and present, including Chris Nolan, Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher and actors Adam West and Christian Bale, the Batmobile documentary takes us into every car Batman has owned ever since the earliest comic books. When we consider how a car is also an extension of who we are, the documentary discusses not only the evolution of the Batmobile, but also the evolution of the Batman character.
The documentary will be released later this year but those attending the Comic-Con this year will have a chance to see a very special preview of the film. In the meantime, check out the awesome trailer for the Batmobile documentary below:
