The gritty details of the Jodi Arias trial -- a case rife with sexual escapades, jealousy and lies -- has already provided the inspiration for a film based on the case. It's received loads of attention from the public not only due to its high-profile nature, but because of several television interviews Arias has done from prison. The only thing it didn't have was a song -- which is now being written.

Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees told reporters that he is working on a song based on Arias' trial, conviction and first-degree murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. He claimed that the case "struck" him, though he didn't say why.

"What I am writing at the moment is a track about the Jodi Arias trial in America," Gibb told the London Telegraph. "The girl has been found guilty and is facing the death penalty. There will be at least one track about that - it has really struck me."

Arias is currently in prison awaiting a sentence as the case was declared a mistrial previously. The case was in the sentencing phase, where the possibility of the death penalty was on the table. Arias originally said she preferred to die, then later changed her tune, offering to provide charitable services to the prison if given a life sentence instead. Arias is accused of murdering her ex-boyfriend after she became enraged that he no longer wished to continue their relationship.
