With the transfer season continuing to heat up, Barcelona remains an active club as they look to bring in players that will help upgrade an already talented roster.
Brazilian superstar Neymar recently inked a five-year deal with the Camp Nou club and with interest in other high profile players, Barcelona has their sights set on bringing home multiple trophies during the 2013-2014 season.

One of those high profile athletes Barca covets is current Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva. While it certainly would become a dream offseason for Barcelona if they're able to bulk up the defense with a player like Silva, PSG president Sheikh Nasser Al-Khelaifi isn't too happy with the fact that Barca is attempting to lure their star center-back away.
According to ESPN FC, Barcelona remains hot on the trail for Silva - who joined PSG last season after 3 years with Milan - and if they further their attempts to bring in the defender, PSG higher-ups won't hesitate to make a major counter move.

"If Barca pay the buy-out clause of Thiago Silva then I will meet Messi's buy-out clause," Al-Khelaifi told ActuSports.fr.
Lionel Messi, considered the best player in the world for his tremendous scoring ability, signed a brand new deal with Barcelona this past February. Running until 2018, the four-time Ballon d'Or winner's contract pays him over $14 million person and comes with a hefty buy-out clause.

Any team that has visions of bringing Lionel Messi to their club will have to match his buyout fee of $335 million.
While it does seem a little extreme and hard to imagine that Lionel Messi would wind up at PSG in the near future, Sheikh Nasser Al-Khelaifi is clearly not happy about Barca aiming to ake away one of the top defenders in all of soccer.
