Bárbara Mori’s 18-year-old son, Sergio Mayer Mori, is going to be a dad, sources revealed last month.
Rumor has it that while the 38-year-old actress is thrilled about becoming a grandmother for the first time, her ex, Sergio Mayer Sr., thinks otherwise about becoming a grandfather.
Telemundo’s “Suelta La Sopa” recently confronted the future abuelo about the situation, and asked his opinion about the baby after showing him Natália Subtil’s most recent sonogram.
“He is very developed, no?” Mayer said between laughs.
He later turned to his wife, Issabela Camil, to get a woman’s point of view but she didn’t seem very willing to join the conversation so he continued, “No, but as a woman, let’s see…this is a baby…I would say this is a baby that’s a little older but maybe it’ll just be a big baby when it’s born. Let’s see if she [Subtil] doesn’t end up saying it’s premature.”
When news about the pregnancy broke, the former “Garibaldi” singer encouraged his son to publicly address all rumors surrounding the pregnancy and his relationship with the 28-year-old Brazilian model.
“I just want to say that this enthusiasm, nervousness and excitement I have to become a dad are still overwhelming,” the teenage model said during a press conference. “The idea [of being a dad] makes me very happy because a kid is one of the biggest blessings life can give you. I am obviously very aware of the commitment and responsibility this implies, and I will do everything I can, within my possibilities, to attend to my child’s necessities.”
However, during a recent interview with “Un Nuevo Día’s” Ana María Canseco and Rashel Diaz, the mom-to-be revealed Sergio Jr. has been extremely distant since his dad stepped in, and she has no way of contacting him because he blocked her from “everywhere.”
