The 69th British Academy Film Awards were held on 14 February at the Royal Opera House in London hosted by Stephen Fry to honor the best British and international contributions to film in 2015. The night was full of glamour as usual and some of the winners were expected, but some were definitely surprising. It was a huge night for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s “The Revenant,” which one Best Picture, Best Cinematography (for Emmanuel Lubezki) Best director and Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance as Hugh Glass.

The big win comes as an expected Oscar predictor for the Mexican director’s movie, who called the win “overwhelming.” He said DiCaprio's “talent and commitment” to the “risky project” had “kept the film breathing.” Below is a list of the night’s winners:
