A 47-year-old man is the chief suspect behind the brutal killing of a 102-year-old man in Los Angeles and attacking another 34-year-old man. The victim was identified as Youssef Mahboubian who was found dead at his home in the 17700 block of Alonzo Place in Encino.

The Los Angeles Police Department found Mahboubian with numerous contusions and lacerations at around 12:50 p.m. on Thursday. This came not long after authorities received reports of an armed man who had a minor laceration to his arm who was attacked by chief suspect, Adam Dimmerman. Officers retrieved an ax and a knife from the scene. He is being held on a stiff $2 million bail.

When word of Mahboubian’s death came out, the old man’s grandson was shocked at the whole incident, ABC 7 reported.

"My wife is horrified to hear he was murdered by some axe-wielding psychopath,” Jason Shakib, the grandson of Mahboubian said. "He must have been deranged, or on drugs or something."

According to Shakib, he initially thought that his grandfather fell. It was only when his cousins went to check out Mahboubian had been murdered by an ax-wielding psychopath.

"He came to this country from Iran decades and decades ago, and they've been living peacefully on Alonzo Place for 30 years," Skakib said. "This is heartbreaking."

Shakib, later on, narrated how his grandfather came to the country from Iran decades ago. He adds that he was living peacefully at the Alonzo Place for 30 years.

"He came to this country from Iran decades and decades ago, and they've been living peacefully on Alonzo Place for 30 years," Skakib said. "This is heartbreaking."
