Bitcoin company CEO Autumn Radtke dies of apparent suicide. LinkedIn

The controversial Bitcoin Exchange turmoil has unfortunately claimed a life. Early this week, Autumn Radtke, the 28-year-old CEO of Bitcoin Exchange First Meta was found dead in her Singapore apartment. Radtke was found the same day Mt. Gox filed for bankruptcy protection in Japan after losing 750,000 bitcoins, or more than $500 million worth of the cyber currency according to BuzzFeed. The media outlets in Singapore are calling Radtke's death a suicide but it is not confirmed until the toxicology report comes in.

Previously Radtke worked with companies like Apple and other tech firms to develop digital payment systems. Jan. 2012 she joined First Meta in charge of cyber currency exchange. The position she held with the company was aimed to help people determine what their holdings at bitcoin are worth. In a short paragraph on First Meta's blog they share their deepest condolences about Radtke's death. The statement reads: "The First Meta team is shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of our friend and CEO Autumn Radtke. Our deepest condolences go out to her family, friends and loved ones. Autumn was an inspiration to all of us and she will be sorely missed."

Since the beginning of 2014 the deaths of employees who work in the business section was at seven, Radtke's death makes number eight. The New York Post reports on Feb. 18 a 33-year-old JPMorgan finance pro leaped to his death the roof of the JPMorgan’s 30-story Hong Kong office tower. Then on Feb. 3, Ryan Henry Crane, 37, a JPM executive director who worked in New York, was found dead inside his home in Connecticut.
