Earlier this week, the Audi YouTube channel released an awesome new video featuring a pair of Audi RS 4 Avants with a paintball turret mounted right on the hood.
Here's what we know about the Audi RS 4 Avant: the German hot rod is armed with a 4.2 FSI V8 powerplant pushing 450 hp and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. Naturally aspirated, the V8 delivers maximum torque all the way from 4,000 through 6,000 rpm. The Audi Quattro system sends power to all four wheels, accelerating the Audi RS 4 Avant from 0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds. Audi's top speed is governed to only 155.34 mph. However, the limiter can be removed upon request, increasing the top speed to 173.98 mph. Of course, all this performance comes at a cost -- the Audi RS 4 Avant only delivers 21.98mpg.
What's more, the Audi RS 4 Avant is available with standard equipment including a set of low profile performance tires wrapped around a set of 19-inch 10-spoke wheels. The Audi also features adaptive headlights, visual parking assist, memory seating, 3-zone climate control, and a 10-speaker premium sound with MMI navigation interface.
However, what if you wanted to know how capable an RS 4 Avant is in a paintball match inside a decommissioned aircraft hangar? Audi will gladly answer that question as well.
In "Ultimate Paintball Duel," Audi pits a white RS 4 Avant firing yellow paintballs against a black RS 4 Avant firing blue paintballs. Drifting around the hangar floor, the Audis took on the spirit of the Messerschmitt as they engaged in an all-out dogfight.
Mixing things up, the black Audi RS 4 Avant deployed the paint dispenser when it took too much heat from the white Audi breathing from behind. Next, the white audi dropped a paint grenade just as the black Audi began to fight back. Eventually, a pylon strike takes out the black Audi, giving the white Audi RS 4 Avant the win.
