A seriously intense storyline combined with mesmerizing acrobatic combat animation has catapulted "Attack on Titan" right up there with "Naruto," "One-Piece," and "Sword Art Online" as one of the most popular animes currently on TV. Apparently, the success of these phenomenal Japanese series even caught the attention of the Senior Vice President of Creative & Creator Development at Marvel Comics, C.B. Cebulski.
On Monday, the comic and manga world erupted when Cebulski revealed that Marvel is working to produce an official "Attack on Titan" and Marvel Universe crossover in Japan. What's more, the exciting announcement was accompanied by an awesome illustration of are favorite web slinger threading a needing right in between two enormous titans. If that didn't just blow your mind, then I'm not sure what will.
While a Marvel Comic and Japanese manga crossover is rare, this isn't Cebulski's first rodeo. C.B. Cebulski had quite a career with manga that went back a couple decades, including his tenure as the editor for Central Park Media and for publishing works like Yoshitoshi ABe. That said, Cebulski didn't actually drop any details regarding what sort of crossover project the team has in mind.
Regardless, it looks like the monstrous titans have found a way to breach New York City and attack the city's population of 8 million people. While New York City lacks the Survey Corps and Military Police Brigade, I'm confident that New York's Finest and good ole Spidey will be more than enough to take these titans down. If not, I hope Spiderman's got the Avengers on speed dial. Besides, they have the Incredible Hulk (puny titans)! Stay tuned as we learn more about the epic "Attack on Titan" and Marvel Universe crossover in the months ahead!
