Aside From Queen Elizabeth, Who’s The Most Dignified Member Of The Royal Family?

Some royals such as Queen Elizabeth, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are treated like celebrities by their international fans due to their immense popularity. However, fans generally measure members of the royal family against far stricter standards compared to the usual Hollywood celebs.

For instance, royals are expected to behave with more propriety as compared to entertainment stars. In fact, the question “Leaving out the Queen herself, who do you consider are the three most dignified, the most ‘royal’ of the Queen’s family?” was recently posted on Quora, which goes to show how fans want their royals to be prim and proper.

As the reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II is deemed to be the most dignified of them all, as implied by the query. But since the question is rather subjective, Quora users’ answers vary greatly, which is to be expected.

For instance, one royal family fan is convinced that, save for Her Majesty, only Prince William would make the cut. “Other than Prince William I can’t see anyone else in her family that I consider in anyway dignified or ‘royal’ (I’m leaving out spouses not born Royal),” Aggie Courtney wrote on Quora. “They all strike me as being very pampered and spoiled.”

Meanwhile, another Quora user believes that the most dignified royal should be the Princess Royal. “I think it would [be] HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal at the undeniable position numero uno,” Pramodh Vallam wrote on the site.

However, it seems that Vallam’s choice was due to Princess Anne being the hardest working royal. He also linked a Daily Mail article that reported the Princess Royal to have the most number of engagements so far this year to support his answer.

One royal family fan on Quora just can’t decide on one particular royal and gave three names. According to user Rich Kahler, the three most dignified are Princess Anne, Prince William and Princess Alexandra.

“Princess Alexandra is just the epitome of a gracious British lady who has quietly supported her cousin for many years,” Kahler wrote. He also explained choosing Anne because she is hardworking and William “for knowing from a young age what his destiny is, and weathering the spectacle of the disintegration of his parents’ marriage and managing to remain somewhat normal.”

Conspicuously absent from the answers is William’s younger brother, Prince Harry. While he has consistently ranked as a very popular royal in polls, most people still remember him for his party-loving days.
