Peter Dinklage protrays Tyrion Lannister in HBO's "Game of Thrones." HBO

If you are a "Game of Thrones" fan then you know that everything can change with the swing of a sword. In Season 1, we watched the main character Sean Bean rise and fall as the honorable Ned Stark. The Stark family went from being the North's powerhouse to finding themselves alone and in shambles. In Season 2, we watched as Stannis Baratheon and his fleet planned an attack on King's Landing. The fight was sure to be a wild one Baratheon vs. Lannister, we watched as Tyrion Lannister lead King's Landing to a victory.

Although, after the battle we noticed a shift in Tyrion's place in King's Landing. He was no longer the King's Hand and he had much different accommodations. As the start of Season 3 is upon us, it's time to wonder who the focus of the new season is.

In Season 3, there are 27 regular cast members, so where does Tyrion stand? It seems as though he is still a main character but how does Peter Dinklage feel about not being the main focus?

"I don't mind," he said. "My character probably minds."

Season 3 begins with Tyrion becoming close with his sister Cersei, to impress no other then his father, Lord Tywin. Lord Tywin Lannister has returned to King's Landing and is now the Hand of the King. His father's succession and Tyrion's downfall does not sit well with the "Imp."

The tensions rise between the Lannister lions, Dinklage comments on the acting of the upcoming season.

"The three of us spar a lot this season," Dinklage said. "That's a challenge because we're a family and it's a family with a very dark history with each other. They're really rich, really well-written long scenes -- six-page scenes -- of just us talking. I really want to do those justice, you really want to serve it well."

For the "Game of Thrones" fans who want to know every little detail, you'll just have to watch on Sunday but Dinklage does comment on whether or not his character falls like Ned Stark.

"He's a survivor," Dinklage said. "He crawls his way back, to a certain extent. But that's what's fun about this character. He'll make the best out of every situation no matter what position he's put in."

"Game of Thrones" Season 3 premiere airs on HBO Sunday at 9 p.m.
