Ever since Prince Charles announced his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles, the world has had its reservations. Although they had been past lovers and remained in touch while they were both married to their first spouses, fate eventually found a way to put them back together romantically, and although everyone else might have disapproved, Charles and Camilla remained strong, or at least that’s what we thought. New rumors are putting the Royal Couple on the rocks for a while, even going as far as to say they are getting a divorce and the Queen has finally had enough of the Duchess of Cornwall.
According to the July 14 edition of Globe Magazine, Camilla tried to force the royal family into a $350 million divorce pay out to buy her silence, as she was threatening to talk to the press and spill all the dirty little secrets of the British Royal Family. However, Queen Elizabeth had no intentions of paying her a dime. “Elizabeth has told Charles to go ahead with the divorce rather than continuing to pacify Camilla. She also summoned Camilla to the palace and had a nifty chat with her, telling the duchess that she’s a complete disgrace and that the family needs to be rid of her.”
Rumors say that the couple finally hit rock bottom on their Canadian tour. The couple allegedly fought against going, but the Queen insisted. "Upon landing in Nova Scotia on May 18th Camilla exclaimed that it would take a lot of booze to survive," according to the June 9 edition of Globe Magazine. "It caused constant fighting and Charles was raging every time his drunken wife threw back another gin martini." Prince Charles allegedly packed up his bags as soon they got home. The causes of the alleged divorce are still unsure, and although some might be pointing them at the couple getting tired of each other, others say that it was because Camilla got extremely upset because the Queen decided to abdicate next year and hand power over to Prince William instead of Prince Charles, so she’ll never get to be a queen.
However, those are just rumors, as both Camilla and Charles made a public appearance and paid tribute to Wales' coal miners on the fourth day of their Wales tour. During their visit to Senghenydd, near Caerphilly, Charles was spotted placing a wreath at the foot of the Welsh National Mining Memorial. The couple also opened the Aber Valley Heritage Centre that features the history of the south Wales valleys.
"My wife and I have so enjoyed this opportunity to meet you all and if I may say so to have a chance to pay our respects at the memorial," Prince Charles said as he paid tribute to the courage of the miners. "We just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate all those who've been involved in ensuring such a marvelous memorial is there in memory of all those many people who died so tragically, not only in 1913, but in 1901," he added. "Both of us are enormously proud to have this opportunity to be here."
