Following a telenovela and film in 2014, Arap Bethke is currently starring in a theater play called "Criminal" and preparing for romantic comedy "Enamorándome De Abril" slated for 2016. He's also been named as the spokesman for the gender equality campaign #HeForSheMX by the United Nations. Men's magazine GQ got the memo and has named Bethke "GQ Personality" for his incredible trajectory.
The actor, who was born in Kenya but grew up in Mexico, is stoked with all of his new ventures, especially the UN campaign, and opened up about it to GQ.
"It's an honor to form part of such an imporant and actual cause," he told the magazine. "Violence against women is a crime; therefore, forming part of this campaign is my duty, as a public figure and as a man." He added that it's necessary to promote a change of mindset.
The 35-year-old stud also revealed some of his favorite things, stating that his favorite restaurant is his mother's kitchen, his favorite drink is water and his favorite city, though he can't really choose, is Mexico City.
And it wouldn't be a complete GQ interview without talking fashion! The former "Clase 406" star (remember Chacho?) expressed that a man with style has nothing to do with clothing.
In fact, he said: "A man with style is someone who is educated, intelligent and with good sense of humor. Someone who knows how to be successful following his passion and someone who is not afraid to express his essence."
