Aracely Arámbula is one of the most beloved stars in telenovelas. The Mexican actress is currently starring in "La Doña" on Telemundo where she plays a fierce woman with a dark heart that is looking to find justice to those that did her wrong in the past. In real life she is hard working and a loving mother of two. Arámbula recently posted a photo that said she was four months pregnant which left followers with the illusion that she was growing her family.
The 41-year-old actress shared a photo on her Instagram account where she posed in a blue bikini showing off her fit body. Turns out that it was an old photo shoot and "La Chule" was only trapped in nostalgia. The quote reads: "Lovely memories at the sea, spring/summer 2006 catalogue in my land of Chihuaha and 4 months pregnant of my little one Miguel."
With the rumors of Aracely Arambula's pregnancy debunked, we can now go back to enjoy her on screen as Altagracia. "La Doña" is based on the Rómulo Gallegos classic novel "Doña Bárbara." Altagracia is an elegant, beautiful and successful woman who runs a construction empire and enjoys widespread respect in society. A series of major traumas early in life left their mark on Altagracia and made her the implacable “Doña” she is today.
Despite her considerable success, Altagracia is missing something in her life: true love, which she discovers for the first time when she meets Saúl (David Chocarro), an attorney who defends the victims of gender violence and all young women fighting for a way out of unemployment, poverty and overpopulation.
Luis Silberwasser, president of Telemundo Network, said of the telenovela adaptation: “Gallegos’ novel has been adapted successfully for film and television before, but what makes this new Telemundo version different is the story, set in modern times. Audiences are increasingly demanding more realism in our telenovelas, and ‘La Doña’ addresses contemporary issues through believable characters with whom viewers can identify with. Violence against women, corruption in politics and business, and the economic crisis many countries in the region are experiencing are just some of the topics that anchor this story in current times."
