Apple's next big event is only one day away and it is likely to be action-packed. With all the rumors and speculations about what Apple will present at this upcoming event fans should be excited! Although is said Apple will be focusing the event around the new fifth-generation iPad and second-generation iPad mini the company is also expected to showcase the new Mac Pro, updated MacBook Pros and the new OS X Mavericks. As the invitation indicated Apple still has a lot more to cover and if rumors are correct the company will indeed be covering a lot. The event is said to focus on the upcoming fifth-generation iPad and second-generation iPad mini. The fifth installment to the Apple line is expected to take design cues from the iPad mini and slim down a lot.
The iPad 5 will most likely run Apple's new 64-bit A7 chip, the new chip was recently released in the iPhone 5S. Other features to be included in the new fifth-generation iPad is an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and an upgrade to the iPad 5's FaceTime HD camera, the front facing camera will most likely be a 2-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video. Meanwhile the second-generation iPad mini will keep the same design but come in the same color options as the new iPhone 5S and get an updated screen with Retina display. It is also rumored that both iPads will have the new Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The new Mac Pro will also be discussed so fans should expected talk of a release date timeframe and also pricing. It is also rumored that updated MacBook Pros will be introduced with improved battery life, improved FaceTime chat camera and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Another Big introduction will be the OS X Maverick system for Macs. The new OS from Apple gains Maps and iBooks functionality, but also introduces some speed improvements, multiple-monitor-support, and an updated Finder application.
The Apple event will kick off tomorrow, October 22, at 10 a.m. PT at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. As of now Apple has yet to confirm if they will live stream the event yet but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
