Apple has confirmed that it is working with a slew of car manufacturers to bring the iOS experience into cars, which is ultimately called "iOS in the car" and will start start 2014. Powered by Siri with updates including integration for settings, and web searches as well as 3rd party apps like Twitter, and Wikipedia, iOS in the car is about as to an iCar as customer will get.
So far, that list of manufacturers includes Honda, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Ferrari, Chevy, Infiniti, Kia, Hyundai, Volvo, Jaguar, and Acura.
Cue's reveal at WWDC confirmed some rumors circulating the webosphere from April that Apple had been pushing to bring its influence into cars within the next few months. Apple isn't exactly new to the automotive space however, it's had a close relationship with Volkswagen dating back to the days of the 3rd generation iPod, and this new approach is much savvier than the notion of a completely distinct Apple iCar because you get all the access from iPhone operating system and the chic modern style you expect from your favorite car brand.
