Apple's announcement today revealed a number of startling innovations to the leading technology brand. At the event, in San Francisco California, the brand revealed new generation models of both the iPad and iPad Mini as well as a new Mac Book Pro and significant software updates. Both iOS and Mac versions of the software have been updated with new sleek designs to go with Apple's fresh new look, as well as performance improvements and brand new features. 1. iPad Air: The latest generation of the iPad series, the iPad Air is smaller, lighter and faster than any previous model: Apple stated that iPad Air is 20 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than the fourth generation iPad. With a 64-bit processor, a 9.7 inch screen, Apple promises this device will have an 8x improvement in CPU performance, while GPU performance would see a 72x improvement. The device will be available for purchase November 1, retailing for $499.

2. iPad Mini, Take 2: The next generation of this tablet has been released with Apple's coveted Retina display. The user will see a 2,048x1,536 Retina Display through the iPad Mini with Retina Display's 7.9 inch screen, which is LED-backlit with IPS technology. The device also includes an A7 processing chip with 64 bit architecture, making it 4 times faster than its predecessor.

3. New Mac Pro: Apple today announced the company's fastest and most expandable desktop computer to date. Redesigned as a dense black cylinder, the device is equipped with 3.7GHz quad-core Xeon E5 processor, 12GB of 1866MHz DDR3 DRAM, twin FirePro D300 GPUs (each with 2GB of video RAM), and a 256GB solid-state drive onboard. Apple claims that drive offers read/write speeds up to 10x faster than a hard drive,

4. New Mac Book Pro: Apple also announce a new MacBook Pro with Retina Display for a a reduced price. The new model will be 13.1 inches and .71 inches wide. The new model weighs just under 3 pounds. The 13 inch model will start selling for just $1299, $100 less than last year's model. The computer will feature a 2.4 GHz Core i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 128GB SSD.

5. Software Updates: Apple also released its latest Mac Operating System, Mavericks. Maps, iBooks, Safari and Calendar all got an update, while features such as Tags and Finder Tabs were added. iWork and iLife both got significant updates also, with both the iOS and MacOS versions of iMovie, Garage Band, iPhoto and Key Note getting new features and a new design.
