If you are one of those people eagerly waiting for the rumored over-ear headphones by Apple, a.k.a. the Apple StudioPods then you are in luck! Youtuber Jon Prosse has posted an inventory listing from US store Target, wherein the over-ear headphones have been listed as "Apple AirPods (X Generation)."
Price?
As per the listing, the product appears to be priced pretty steeply as it will cost $399, a towering number that even the brands’ competitors Sony WH-1000XM3 and the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are yet to cross.
It will come in a range of colors
Prosser found three different product codes, all priced at $399. So, as per his speculations, the Apple over-ear headphones could come in a range of colors, following the path of the Apple-owned Beats headphones which often come in a range of bright colors.
Its release date is probably just around the corner!
While it is yet to be confirmed whether the leaked listing is of the rumored Apple over-ear headphones, it does give second the predictions that the headphones will be released in the first half of 2020. As per AppleInsider "multiple Target staffers" that “placeholders for new products are common, with pricing information” and are “often provided by the manufacturer in advance of release." They further added that these products are then usually shipped within a month and "sometimes as soon as a week following an initial appearance in the system."
Even respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who had predicted the correct release date of the upgraded Apple AirPods and the AirPods Pro in 2019, has claimed that these upcoming Apple headphones will be probably launched in the coming months, along with other new products.
These predictions and speculations go along with the previous release dates of Apple products like Apple Arcade, Apple AirPods, and Apple TV Plus, which were launched in March 2019. So, even though, Apple is yet to confirm the date or any of the rumored specs, there are high chances that the first-ever pair of Apple over-ear headphones will be launched in March this year. Just one month to go!
