If you're passing through the New York City neighborhood of Soho, marketing firm Good Days is looking to catch your eye. A hot dog truck purchased by the firm sits outside of Dominique Ansel Bakery, home of the "cronut" -- a cross between a croissant and donut and itself a viral craze -- adorned with caricatures of NYC mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, his alias "Carlos Danger", and references to the candidate's 2011 and 2013 sexting scandals. Latin Times spotted "Anthony Weiner's Weiner Truck" on Tuesday morning near its New York offices.
According to DigiDay, the truck is the brainchild of Good Days cofounders Joey Goodwin and John Gagliano, who took it for a spin earlier in August to points around the city, where they also handed out free hot dogs. At the moment, it remains parked in front of the Good Days offices, right across the street from Dominique Ansel Bakery, in full view of the rash of customers who descend upon it every day in hopes of tasting a cronut. Good Days specializes in designing interactive advertising campaigns for companies like Poland Springs, Focus Features and Express using food trucks.
