A tech billionaire and close friend of Elon Musk, is reportedly joining the Trump administration as part of Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team, despite not having any government experience.

Joe Gebbia, the co-founder of Airbnb, once a major Democratic donor, has recently aligned himself with figures like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and has publicly supported Musk's government overhaul efforts.

On Friday, Gebbia -- who is also on the board of Musk's Tesla -- arrived at the Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C., to reportedly begin work with Musk's team, the New York Times reported.

His role within DOGE remains unclear, but he is expected to contribute to Musk's sweeping changes in federal operations.

His collaboration with Musk could redefine federal spending policies, though critics argue that the lack of government experience among DOGE members raises concerns about the feasibility and ethics of their approach.

The Trump administration has increasingly embraced tech billionaires and entrepreneurs, particularly those who have shifted their political allegiance to the Republican Party, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
