Ankle breakers can be a thoroughly painful move. Soccer players are often accused of faking or over-dramatizing fould from other players to increase the chances of a red card being handed out. But as the video below shows, sometimes soccer can be a brutally painful sport. In fact, tackling is the most dangerous part of the game: according to active.com, "more injuries occur during tackling than during any other activity."

The ankle breaker video below is from a local German soccer club match. Player 11 in the red and white striped jersey has the ball, but it is kicked away by someone from the opposite team in blue and yellow. Another blue-and-yellow teammate takes wandering football: number 11 chases after him and goes in to tackle the ball away. You then hear a brutal crack as the player's ankle presumably snaps. Ouch.

Slide tackles are a common source of fouls in the sport. Players can be fouled for: making contact with the opponent before touching the ball; kicks or attempts to kick an opponent; attempts to trip an opponent; raises his/her football boots perpendicular to the field. Whats your worst tackle story?
